Use of PetroCure™ in the Removal of Hydrogen Sulfide

EnviroCure2000™ and its derivative PetroCure™ have been used successfully to remove Hydrogen Sulfide from water, air, oil-wells, factory stacks, ground water, waste water, garbage and hazardous medical waste. Each application represented both a new challenge and a proof that EnviroCure™ and PetroCure™ are the only known effective methods to remove at least 92% up to 99.3% of Hydrogen Sulfide.

Yet, every application varies in the required amount, concentration and methods of application. The reason is that EnviroCure™ is NOT a typical artificial chemical compound. It represents a NEW concept that does not conform to the methods of conventional TOXIC chemical preparations. It is a combination of natural ingredients extracted from plants at specific temperatures, added at certain ratios and mixed at variable temperature degrees. The ingredients are intended to work in harmony with each other to respond to the specific NATURAL problems and resolve them in harmony with Nature. Therefore, there is not one single active ingredient that can be pointed out, as is the case with chemical compounds. Nor is there a one single prescription for all problems.

There are crucial factors that determine the quantity, concentration, method and duration of applying EnviroCure™ or PetroCure™ in the cases of hydrogen sulfide problems. For example in the case of Medical Waste and Autoclaves a 100% Concentration is applied directly using a pump with 3/4" hose in the amounts of 1 part to 1.5 quarts per cycle spraying into the bag. Similarly, in Sewage Treatment Facilities a 100% Concentrate is sprayed in a mist form directly onto the source. However, for Sewage Plants Odors 1 part PetroCure™ and 50 parts of water are mixed, then misted or vaporized, preferably by using an automatic, regulated or time-paced fogging systems that releases the mist right over the holding tanks. A super-fine continuous misting is sometimes required if the sources of wastewater produce high and continuous levels of Hydrogen Sulfide. However, when such misting is at the rates of 1 part PetroCure™ to 10,000 parts of Sewage Sludge, Hydrogen Sulfide is neutralized provided that the Sludge is left for between 18 to 24 hours.

In the case of stagnant water: Each 1000 square meters require 200 liters of PetroCure™. Every 20 liters must be poured in the middle of each sector of the 9 grid-sectors that the1000 square meters is divided into. Similar results can be achieved if in each grid sector only 2 liters are poured in combination with 1 part of PetroCure™ mixed with 10 parts of water that are power-sprayed over the surface of the stagnant water. In the case of flowing groundwater it is advisable to collect the water in one tank or pool and spray the surface every 15 minutes with super-fine mist of the concentrate, then leave to settle for at least 12 hours before discharge to allow for the break down in the water as well.

In chimneys and factory stacks scrubber applications with spray nozzles distributed along the stack with regulated puffs to deliver concentrate of the formula will eliminate between 92% to 97% of the hydrogen sulfide. In the case of oil-wells, Hydrogen Sulfide can be removed with an efficiency of 99% by bleeding the gas out of the well through a 3 inch pipe where PetroCure™ is injected to react with the gas and the mixture is bubbled through a drum containing water. Lint filter traps which are kept continuously wet with 50% PetroCure™ and 50% water have also proven effective as a containment of Hydrogen Sulfide that is released through vents in factories or oil-wells.
However, Hydrogen Sulfide being a gas and present in liquid media, such as water, explains why concentrations vary in different parts of the same place or area. Furthermore, there are other factors that determine the quantities of PetroCure™ needed to treat the different locations with the same number of parts per million of Hydrogen Sulfide or even in the same place at different times, because of specific variations in:

1- Water temperature
2- Ambient Temperature
3- Air Flow
4- Iron content in the water,
5- Organic contents in the water
6- The Carbon Content,
7- Total Petroleum Hydro-Carbon (TPH)
8- Rate of flow of the sucked water into the collection tank,
9- Diameter Size of the Suction hose,
10- Suction hose Discharge rate
11- Size of the collection tank
12- Discharge rate of the collection tank into the sewage system
13- Type of sewage system (Pipes or Constructed Tunnels)
14- Distribution distances of the inspection inlets and release outlets
15- What is the rate of flow out of the Sewage system
16- The other contaminants around the outlet area.

Experience in the field indicates that super-fine mist spraying of the water's surface with 100% concentrate at 5 minutes intervals in addition to allowing the water to settle for at least 12 hours, will guarantee an almost total elimination of the Hydrogen Sulfide.

Yet, the best success can be achieved through experimentation with the different application options and the different concentration ratios or quantities of PetroCure™.
